A twist on the traditional seed packets - seed balls! Seed balls were historically sown by Native Americans to prevent birds from gobbling up their valuable seeds, but they are now made in the USA and work toward supportive programs for developmentally disabled workers. An eco-friendly wedding favor which also helps people too!
Just toss on prepared soil and keep watered! Poppy seed balls can be stored in a dry, cool place for up to 3 years before planting.
How to Use:
No digging necessary
20-30 seeds per ball
Faster than sowing individual seeds
Plant in spring after all danger of frost
1 ball will sow approximately one square foot
Measurements: 1" diameter
You can place several seed balls in small terra cotta pots, or place them in our 2" x 2"
wedding favor boxes with a "nest" of recycled grass for a lovely eco-friendly wedding favor!
Terracotta pots are not included. Each seed ball sold seperately.
