10 Fun Bridal Shower Games To Play

Our Top 10 Fun Bridal Shower Game Ideas

Traditionally, during the bridal shower - you need to entertain your guests with bridal shower games. While there are always classics like bridal shower bingo and scratch offs, why not try playing something different and unique for a bridal shower game? Here are some fun ideas that can get your bridal shower started!
  1. The Nearly Newlywed Game You'll need to enlist the help of the groom before the shower for this one. Simply think of questions about their relationship such as "Where did you go on your first date?" "Where was your first kiss?" "What's his/her most annoying habit?" - ask the groom for his answers and video tape them. Then at thee bridal shower ask the bride the same set of questions, after the bride responds, play back the answers of the groom.

  2. Paper Brides Every year a popular toilet paper manufacturer holds a contest for the best bridal gown made of toilet paper! Now's your chance to do the same. Divide guests up into teams. One member of each team is the model, the others design her gown. The models strut and the bride to be picks her favorite look.

  3. Celebrity Hubby, Fantasy Date, Your Date From Hell Gather some index cards and have guests write out their fantasy date or celebrity hubby. You can also have them write their nightmare date on the opposite side. Collect and mix up the cards, the bride reads them off and everyone tries to match the date with the guest who wrote it.

  4. The Lingerie Game Ask the guests to each bring a pair of panties for the bride in her size, in whatever style/shape/size etc. they like, the more outlandish/creative the better. At the party, string up a "clothes line", hang up all the panties (collect them before the bride sees it), and then lead her to it, and ask her to guess which pair of panties came from whom, and why she thinks so. So much fun!!

  5. The Vow Collaboration Who needs traditional vows when the guests can create fun, hilarious ones! Get two clipboards and divide the shower into two teams. Pass around the two clipboards: one with the header "I [Bride's name] take you [Groom's name] and promise to" and the other with the opposite. (One set is for the bride to read to the groom the other is for the groom to read to the bride. For example, the bride's clipboard may say, "I promise to…not hog the shower in the morning" and the groom's clipboard may say "For example, "I promise to…not hog the remote control." Once one guest has written their vow, they should fold it over so that it's hidden, and then pass it to the second player. At the end, the couple gets to read their "new" wedding vows. Make sure the groom to appears before the end of the party and you can have a "mock" ceremony with your original vows.

  6. Guess The Groom For co-ed showers, this game is a ton of fun! It's the bride's last chance to grope other guys without the guilt! To play Guess the Groom, the blindfolded bride takes turns feeling the (calves, chest, arms, etc) of each male model, finally making an educated guess as to which (body part) belongs to her groom. This game works particularly well at couples showers, where there's usually a plethora of willing (and intoxicated) guys to choose from. You could also turn the tables on the groom, who could be presented with the same sort of parade of legs or hands. Unless the bride is a natural exhibitionist, this game will surely help her earn "blushing bride" status.

  7. A Bridal Shower Roast This is great for brides (or couples if its a Jack and Jill shower) who have a sense of humor. It's also great for larger showers - guests can stand up and pay homage to the guest of honor by telling funny and outrageous stories pertaining to them.

  8. Who's Line Is It AnywayThis is also great for couples showers and for those couples who have a sense of humor. Two guests are given a scenarios on slips of paper and have couples come up and re-enact the bride and groom to be. For example, "John and Jane get lost on a road trip." or "John and Jane go grocery shopping." This can also be done for women only showers too!

  9. Finish That Wedding Saying This can be dirty or clean - it's entirely up to the guests involved. Find famous saying about marriage such as, "Love means never ..." / "It is better to have loved and lost than..." / "All is fair in love and ..." - Have your guests finish the sayings with their own twist. You may want to write these sayings on cards and have guests complete them for a cute bridal shower memory!

  10. Put A Ring On It Game A spin off from baby showers, each guest gets a "bling" ring and a list of words or a word they are forbidden to use. But don't be caught saying the "forbidden" word. if you're caught, the woman who calls you out gets your ring. The woman wearing the most bling at the end wins!
